Tier 2 IT Technician
Remote Operations Company is looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual with a track record of excellence in the IT & Customer Service fields. The successful candidate will work closely with the Information Technology Team Lead and the IT Manager to assist in providing IT solutions for all Managed Services Clients, thereby helping Remote Operations Company to redefine the way that Information Technology is delivered.
General Qualifications
- Experience with process creation
- Proven history of high-quality incident resolution
- Follow-through on commitments to customers with courtesy and sense of ownership
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think critically in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work either alone or as part of a team to accomplish a wide variety of tasks/projects
- Previous Help Desk/Systems Administration experience preferred
Technical Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Windows Server 2003/2008 and underlying services (AD, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Small Business Server 2003/2008/2011 migration
- Cisco firewalls/switches
- Exchange 2003/2007/2010 implementation/administration
- Windows/Microsoft Office desktop troubleshooting
- Knowledge of SharePoint, SQL, IIS, and VMware products a plus
Education
- A 2-year degree in an IT-related field or 3-4 years of experience in an IT capacity will be required for this position. Certifications are desired but not a requirement for this position.
Compensation
- Commensurate with experience.
Hours per Week
- Typical work-week will be approximately 40 hours. However, the technician will be responsible for on-call/weekend work as part of our on-call rotation.
